I understand that there are lots of new juniors joining our club and I hope that we will see you all joining in the Section games

HOLIDAY GOLF

Now that the holidays are here there will be a regular competition every Wednesday - starting next week 28^th July - as well as the Saturday games. All you have to do is book in to the professional shop around midday and the matches will, tee off from 1.00pm.  The entry is free and will count towards getting a handicap.

You have a choice of playing 9 or 18 holes (the 9 hole competitions have a separate scorecard obtainable from the shop.)

Why not turn up, meet some new friends and enjoy your golf!

YOUTH SHIELD

Our team have had some really good results and are through to the quarter finals of this County Competition. The next match is against Crowlands Heath and is being played at West Essex Golf  Club on 1^st August 2010. This is a good draw and I’m sure that if the team play as well as they have in recent games we will have a great match.

FALDO WEDGE

We have a team entered in this competition playing at Three Rivers Golf Club on 28^th July and, like the Shield team we wish them every luck

JUNIOR CAPTAINS DAY

This will be held on Sunday 5^th September 2010 and the competition will include the Junior Championship and Handicap Trophy. There will be other competitions to suit all ages and handicaps –so keep your eyes on the notice board and the Section website.

GOLF CAN BE AN EASY GAME…….

Just ask Sam Ainsbury who scored a hole in one at the 4^th hole in a recent competition !  Well done Sam

Don’t forget ALWAYS

tidy up any bunker you “visit” using the rakes

repair any pitchmarks you find on the greens – not just your own!
